Rules.  These are pertaining to the current situation, and may change at any one time

On the morning of the competition anyone displaying COVID-19 symptoms, however mild, should stay at home. Anyone who has been in contact with someone that is showing symptoms should stay at home. Anyone considered vulnerable should stay at home.  All those attending to check their own temperature before leaving home. This applies to volunteers and officials too.   We will have a thermometer to check if necessary.

Riders must have their own BD numbers either bridle or saddlecloth.  

Riders should text 07831729726 telling that person that they have arrived at the venue and are ready for their allotted time for warm up arena.  Please do not arrive hours prior to your time, as you will not be allowed in warm up area prior to your time.

Riders to be permitted to wear soft face masks that cover the mouth and nose, but no face shields are permitted. Nothing is to be attached to the riding hat.   

Passport checking should be done electronically before the event for the remainder of 2020. Checks should not be done in person on the day.   All passports should continue to travel with the horse as it is a legal requirement.  

 Parking on the day will be as below, a parking steward will be available.

Lorries should be the following distances apart:

a. 10m apart  allowing tying up of horses on both sides, b. 5m apart if allowing tying up of horses on one side ,c. 3m apart as the minimum allowed, and with no tying up of horses permitted

There will be very limited viewing – due to social distancing.

No dogs

Bridle numbers only.   – no swapping of holders.

Competitors to bring their own refreshments/ some prepacked refreshments may be available.

Scoreboards – scores will be given out on website the same night and sheets, rosettes will be posted to rider.  Please remember to fill in your address on entry form

Official photographers – Online sales of photographs only – no viewing or purchasing on site.

All queries to be texted to the event phone (07831729726) within 30 mins of results being posted online. Strictly no objections after this time.

Warm up will be in  a 25m x 60m arena = 5 horses 

Competitors arrived not too long before their stated time for warm up, and then ask them to leave once they are finished  Horses will be given a warm up time for the warm up arena and also a time for their test or tests.

 Non-clinical PPE (personal protective equipment) such as face masks and gloves should always be used as an additional or ‘last’ measure to control a risk.

Local Rules. 

  1. Competition organisers accept no responsibility for any injury, death or other loss, however caused to any of those attending the event.

  2. Horses must be 4 years and over

  3. Juniors are under the age of 17 years on 1st January of current year.

  4. The rider of the horse/pony entered is the only person allowed to ride the pony/horse during the competition day, whether in arena or warmup.

  5. All entries are entered through www.dressagenortheast.co.uk  website, payment through website, or through equoevents, please send in your passport vaccination data, with your entry.  

  6. The judge’s decision is final

  7. We reserve the right to eliminate any competitor, wearing inappropriate riding wear, or using unsafe or incorrect tack. Hats must comply to BS Kite mark and current standards.

  8. Cancellation of any part of the competition will only be done in extreme circumstances, monies will either be carried forward or refunded at 50% of cost.

  9. Any objection to result, to be made within 30 minutes of results being posted, with £20 deposit, returnable if objection withheld.

  10. Riders will adhere to the rules laid out through the Corvid 19.  Please see notice on website.  As these rules may change please update yourself prior to the event.

  11. Cheques if given in payment and not honoured by the bank will result in disqualification in future events.

  12. Points accumulated over the series for Junior and Senior will go towards the championships.  Sashes and prizes to winners of both junior and senior sections.

  13. All result sheets will be posted to riders together with any prizes or rosettes.  The extra entry fee is to cover these extra expenses. Please remember to fill in address on entry form. No result sheets will be handed out on day, results will be on www.dressagenortheast.co.uk at end of competition.  After finishing your classes, you are asked to leave the venue.
